Gordon J. Hastreiter, father of Gordon A. Hastreiter, owned and operated J.C. Hastreiter Lbr. Co. in Woodruff, Wisconsin from the late 1940's to the mid-1960's. Part of his business was the prefabrication of cottages and other buildings at the lumberyard and then the on-site erection of same. Although he was physically disabled by multiple schlerosis he provided the design, organization, and supervision of the projects such as this building on a Minocqua area lake in @ 1960.
